Enable this only if you??™re using an MPEG-2 decoder add-on card that connects to the
???Feature Connector??? found on older video cards, and then only if the device specifically
requires this setting.
Parallel Port This enables or disables the parallel (printer) port on your motherboard. Disable the
parallel port??”if your PC even has one??”if you have a USB printer.
Parallel Port Mode Use this to choose among the various parallel (printer) port modes: ECP, EPP,
ECP+EPP, Normal (SPP). In most cases, you??™ll want ECP; only choose one of the
lesser options if you run into a compatibility problem. Note that such problems are
more commonly caused by incorrect or faulty printer cables.
PEG Buffer Length This sets the size of the packets sent to your PCI-Express graphics (PEG) card; in most
cases, this should be set to Auto.
PEG Force X1 Disable this in most cases. Enable this only if you??™ve inserted a PCI-Express X1 card
into your PCI-Express X16 slot, the slot normally used for a X16 video card.
PEG Link Latency Set this to Normal or Auto; see ???PEG Link Mode??? for more information.
PEG Link Mode Used to overclock your PCI-Express video card. Set to Auto to be on the safe side, or
set to Faster for better performance at the risk of frying your video card.
