"Windows Vista Annoyances: Tips, Secrets, and Hacks"

If your web site doesn??™t provide the necessary URL, just search
Google for the word mailto and the name of your web site (or application),
and you should get the information you need.
When you??™re done, test your changes by clicking the Email entry in your
Start menu, and then follow-up by clicking a mailto: link in any web page.
Stop Spam
Of the 873 messages in your inbox this morning, I bet only about 5 were
actually for you (thinning hair and waning sex drive notwithstanding). So,
how do you do away with the other 868 messages that are sure to be delivered
again tomorrow?
Unfortunately, there is no perfect solution. Either you live with some junk
mail in your inbox, or you employ a spam filter that occasionally deletes
valid messages. But there are things you can do to mitigate the problem and
reduce your exposure to spam.
First, don??™t post your email address on web sites, public forums, or in the
backs of computer books. If you??™ve already done this, you??™re already on
every spam list on the planet. Also, be wary of phishing emails (see the
upcoming ???Don??™t Phall for Phishing??? sidebar), another source (and scourge)
of spam.

So, you get this message from eBay telling you that your account will be suspended
if you don??™t update your information, and then you get a nearly identical
message from Wells Fargo.
