If you??™re working with territorialists who you know to be incorrect about a particular
fact, always try to convey the correct information in private and in a way that makes
them feel that they came up with the idea in the first place. Perhaps give them a gentle
nudge in the right direction, or ask them to validate a claim just to be 100% certain of it.
Calling them out in public or directly debating an issue will almost certainly damage any
working relationship with a territorialist.
nNote While a true territorialist does have a high level of expertise in a subject, no one knows everything.
If you ever encounter a colleague, instructor, or presenter who claims to know everything there is to know
about a certain subject, get up and walk out of the room. No one knows everything about any specific subject
unless it is very limited in scope.
