Enemies who enter this
territory, such as delivery trucks or the evil postal service, must be properly warned
with eardrum-shattering barking. As long as these enemies don??™t enter the territory,
they only receive a warning ???woof.???
I??™mcertainly not equating territorialists to animals, but the drive and behavior is
simple, albeit with less barking. Territorialists are somewhat similar to isolationists and
information hoarders, but what they value most is different.
What Is Valued?
The main value of territorialists can be summed up in a simple sentence: ???I know more
than you.??? Whether it??™s true or not, territorialists believe that they??™re the experts in any
given area (technology or business). To question them is an insult; they believe that
everyone should acknowledge their status as an expert. More often than not, territorialists
are experts in their field or business area. Like most personality types, any complications
that territorialists introduce into an activity are done so with the best of
intentions. Territorialists want nothing more than to make sure everyone understands
how things really work.
