For example, you may question someone
who specializes in .NET Web development by starting off with, ???So, John, you??™re a specialist
in .NET Web development. How would you approach creating an effective user interface????
That simple acknowledgment makes all the difference.
Involve isolationists as soon as possible. If your activity will ultimately affect them,
waiting to ask for their input deep into the process will come across as a lack of respect.
Never make demands on them, and never try to force them out of isolationist mode. Be

The Information Hoarder
Similar to isolationists, information hoarders want the boundaries between their responsibilities
and the responsibilities of others to be clearly defined, respected, and, most
importantly, enforced by management. If there is no external enforcement of boundaries,
they will take matters into their own hands consciously or subconsciously, implicitly or
explicitly, to prevent others from crossing those boundaries.
