"Pro SQL Server Disaster Recovery"

While they may not have the creativity to consider different
approaches, they will listen to alternate courses of action.
The Isolationist
One key to successful disaster recovery planning is the involvement of multiple groups
from all parts of the company. You don??™t want just the IT department involved. You also
want finance, sales, purchasing, and other critical stakeholders involved. Isolationists
want nothing to do with other groups. Isolationists are usually born out of a failed joint
project, difficulties in working with others, or experience with others meddling in their
particular area of expertise.
What Is Valued?
In a sense, all isolationists want are respect and privacy. They don??™t want to have anyone
glibly summarize what they do or speak about them in the third person. (FYI, never talk
about someone in the third person when they??™re either part of the conversation or a
recipient of a written conversation. This is perhaps the most demeaning thing you could
do to someone.) Isolationists value being recognized as an individual. They want specific

areas of responsibility, and they want the boundaries of those areas of responsibility to be
respected by others.
