This report is a Pie Chart with a
Legend that shows us the employees' color code, with an excerpt that shows us the
value of that slice. However, it would be a little easier visually to view if the slices
were exploded, and if the slices had an Outline. Let's take a look at how to modify
some of the Chart properties to do this:
1. Double-click on the Chart in the Report Design. This will re-open the Chart
Dialog. Open the Format Chart tab.
2. Open the Series|Value Series section. Under the Slice section, change the
By Distance value to 6.

3. For Slice Outline, choose the color Black from the color palette.

Using Percentages
Let's say we want to change the Chart to display percentages instead of numbers, and
add a little interactivity to the Chart to display the sales number when clicked on.

1. Double-click on the Chart. Select the Value Series section, and click on the
Labels button.

2. Under Values, Remove the Value Data option, and Add Percentile
Value Data.
3. Close the Series Labels Dialog. In the Edit Chart Dialog, click on the
Interactivity button. Choose Mouse Click as the Event and Hyperlink as
the Action.
