Feel free to experiment with "dragging and dropping" the columns and
tables, to get a feel for how that mechanism works.
5. Click Finish.
The final type of Data Set we are going to create is called the Joined Data Set. This
is a type of Data Set that will combine the results of two existing Data Sets into one
logical Data Set. This is a very useful feature when you are joining data from two
unrelated Data Sources, such as with a database and a text file, or from two separate
databases. In the following example, we will join the dsetFlatFilePayments with the
dsetXMLEmployee. To show that there are a few different ways to create Data Sets,
we will also create this one using the Outline view instead of the Data Explorer.
1. From the Outline view, right-click on Data Sets and select New Joined
Data Set.

2. Enter the information as illustrated in the following figure:
If you kept the filter in dsetXMLEmployee, you will see that information for only
John Ward comes back with the payment information. This is because the filter
on that Data Set, in combination with the Inner Join, is preventing any data from
dsetFlatFilePayments from coming back, except the information related to John
Ward.
