Visual Report Components

While the report just developed is not the prettiest report in the world, you get the
idea of how to work with the visual elements in the BIRT Palette.
Summary
In this chapter, we discussed the various visual report elements that you can use to
design BIRT reports. We had the opportunity to see how the various panes in the
workspace cooperate together to create BIRT reports, such as using the component
Palette to drag components over to the Report Designer pane, selecting elements in
the Outline, moving objects in the Outline under other components, and changing
their properties in the Property Editor.
