Add Tags to Images
When you end up with hundreds or even thousands of images on your
hard drive, finding the photo you want to print or edit is like looking for
a needle in a haystack. Fortunately, you can
add tags to your images. Tags can be used as
criteria when you??™re searching for a file. To
add tags to an image:
1. Open the Photoshop Elements Organizer
workspace, as outlined previously.
2. Choose Window | Organize Bin. The Organize
Bin is displayed on the right side of the Organizer
workspace, as shown here. Notice that the
Organize Bin has several categories. You can
add tags to these categories and apply them to
images.
3. Click the Tags icon if the Tags section of the
Organize Bin is not already displayed.
To create a new tag:
1. Select the desired category. For example, if you
wanted to tag vacation photos, Places would be
a good category in which to place the tag.
2. Click the New icon, and choose New Tag
from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, you
can press CTRL+N (Windows) or COMMAND+N
(Macintosh).
