If you
followed the advice I presented in Chapter 7, your folders
have logical names that make it easy for you to figure out
what images are stored in what folder. In this chapter, you??™ll
learn steps to further organize your digital image galleries
and archive them to a CD or external hard drive.
Organize Your Digital Image Library
After several months of picture-taking, your hard drive may have hundreds
or even thousands of images. If you employ good housekeeping and
segregate similar image files into a named folder when you download them
from your camera to the computer, you??™ve taken the first step in organizing
your photos. The Photoshop Elements Organizer workspace is your biggest
ally when it comes to organizing your digital image library.

Launch the Organizer Workspace
The Photoshop Elements Organizer workspace makes it possible for you to
visually sift through your images. You can also add tags to images, which
makes it easier to find the images you want. You can sort images and use the
Organizer workspace timeline to view images by the date they were created.
