Touch Up Photos
Digital cameras are not perfect, and neither are photographers. Sometimes,
camera and photographer are in synch, and the result is a wonderful photo.
Then there are other times when Mother Nature fools the camera, or the
photographer makes a wrong choice, and the result is a less-than-perfect photo.
If that photo has redeeming value, you may be able to rescue it in Photoshop
Elements. The following sections offer some remedies for common ailments.
Straighten a Photo
What seemed perfectly level when you looked at a scene through the viewfinder
may not be once you get it into the computer for editing. Even professional
photographers take photographs that aren??™t perfectly level. For example, picture an
image of a sunset on the ocean with a horizon line that is not parallel with the top
and bottom edges of the image. Fortunately, there??™s an easy fix for this problem.
1. Open an image where your subject is not level. In the case of the image shown here,
the roof is not parallel with the top and bottom edges of the picture.
