the selection.
Create Selections with the Magic Selection
Brush Tool
Yet another way to make a selection is with the Magic Selection Brush tool. This
tool is simplicity at its best. The tool recognizes like colors in an area in which
you draw or scribble with the tool.
1. Select the Magic Selection Brush tool.
2. In the options bar, choose a color for the brush tip. The default color (red) works well in
most instances.
TIP
Select a soft-edged brush to gradually feather the
selection into the surrounding pixels.
TIP
To remove pixels from the selection, press the ALT key
(Windows) or OPTION key (Macintosh), and paint over the
part of the selection you want to remove.
TIP
To quickly change the size of any brush tool in Photoshop
Elements, press the right bracket key ( ] ) to increase brush
size or the left bracket key ( [ ) to decrease brush size.

3. In the options bar, specify the width of the brush tip.
4. Scribble inside the area you want to select. When you release the mouse button,
Photoshop Elements creates a selection based on the colors in the area in which
you used the tool.
