Specify a high value to anchor points more quickly.
3. Move your cursor over the object you want to select, and then click to define the
starting point.
4. Drag your cursor over the edge. As you trace the edge with your cursor, Photoshop
Elements adds points that snap to the edges based on the settings you specify in the
options bar. The selection can be modified using one of the menu commands or tools.
The selection can also be copied to the Clipboard and composited into another image.
5. To close the selection, do one of the following:
??? Drag your cursor over the first point, and release the mouse button.
??? Move your cursor toward the starting point, and then double-click to close the selection.
??? To close the selection with a straight point between your current cursor position
and the first point of the selection, hold down the ALT key (Windows) or OPTION
key (Macintosh), and then double-click. Closing a selection in this manner is useful
when you??™re selecting an object that ends at the border of the image, such as the
torso of a person in a head-and-shoulders portrait.
TIP
If the object you are selecting has well-defined edges,
specify high Width and Edge Contrast settings.
