8. After the image is adjusted as desired, click OK to apply the changes.
ADJUST BRIGHTNESS AND CONTRAST
If desired, you can manually adjust brightness and contrast in an image. You
adjust these parameters when an image is noticeably too bright or too dark, or
lacks contrast, or if you want to create a special effect with an image.
1. Open the image you want to adjust.
TIP
Click the Undo button to undo the last variation you
applied; you can click it multiple times to undo multiple
variations. Click the Redo button to redo the last
variation; you can click it as needed to redo multiple
variations. Click the Reset button to restore the image to
the same state as when the Color Variations dialog box
was opened.
TIP
You can adjust more than one tonal range if needed.
After adjusting one tonal range, select the option for the
next tonal range you need to adjust.

2. Choose Enhance | Adjust Lighting | Brightness/Contrast to display the Brightness/
Contrast dialog box, shown in the above illustration.
3. Drag the Brightness slider to the right to make the image brighter; drag to the left to
darken it.
