If you fall into this group, you??™ll be happy to know that Photoshop Elements has
a Full Edit mode, with a plethora of commands and tools for fine-tuning your
images to pixel perfection. To edit images in Full Edit mode:
1. Launch Photoshop Elements.
2. Click the Edit And Enhance Photos icon on the Welcome screen. The application
loads the Full Edit workspace, as shown in Figure 7-2. Alternatively, you can use the
Quick Fix mode to apply your preliminary edits, and then click the Full Edit tab. As you
can see, there is a wide variety of tools you can use to edit your images. When you
see a triangle in the lower-right corner of a tool??™s icon, click it to reveal related tools.
(A discussion of all the tools is beyond the scope of this book.)
TIP
When you sharpen an image, increase magni?¬? cation
to 100 percent and pay careful attention to the edges
of objects in the images. If you notice any bright spots
(halos) or colored specks, you??™ve over-sharpened the
image. Reduce the amount of sharpening until the halos
disappear.
