monitor calibration package. These contain a colorimeter,
which attaches to your monitor, and a software application
that monitors the results. When you calibrate your
monitor, the colorimeter analyzes the images generated
by the software as displayed on your monitor and sends
the results back to the application. The application
analyzes the results and then generates a profile for your
monitor. Adobe Gamma relies on the user??™s subjective
interpretation, whereas a good monitor calibration
package gives consistent results, regardless of changes
in lighting and other factors. As of this writing, you can
find monitor calibration packages for as low as $69.95.
