Launch Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0
Photoshop Elements has a diverse selection of tools you can use to professionally
edit an image. Many of the tools are intuitive, while others become easier to use
as you gain familiarity with the application. The following sections will serve
as an introduction to editing digital images in Photoshop Elements. To launch
the application, choose Start | Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 (Windows) or
click the Adobe Photoshop Elements shortcut (Macintosh). After launching the
application, the Welcome screen shown in the following image appears. From
the Welcome screen, you can click a button to create a new file, browse for a file,
connect to a camera or scanner, read common issues, or run a tutorial.
