When you photograph scenes before
sunrise and after sunset, you may find that automatic
exposure will make
the image brighter
than the actual scene.
You??™ll notice this in
your LCD monitor
after your camera
captures the picture.
When this happens,
use your camera menu
command or control to
reduce the exposure by
an f-stop. The image
here shows a scene
photographed several
minutes after sunset.
TIP
When you travel, use a nondescript case to house
your camera gear. An expensive camera case with a
manufacturer??™s logo is like sending a written invitation
to a thief. Never leave your camera gear unattended.
A diaper bag is a good alternative.

4. Capture the special moments. For example, if your vacation involves air flight, take a
picture of a loved one catching a catnap before boarding a flight.
5. Try to plan visits to major tourist attractions on off days. This helps you avoid fighting
long lines and crowds of people. As an added benefit, you get pictures of the tourist
attraction without massive throngs of tourists in every shot.
