2. Pack your camera gear:
??? Be sure you have extra memory cards or a laptop computer to which you can
download your images.
??? Pack extra batteries.
??? Remember to pack your battery charger. If you??™re
traveling overseas, make sure your battery
charger will work in the countries you are visiting.
Otherwise, purchase a voltage adapter. When
you purchase a power adapter, make sure it??™s
the same voltage and frequency as that of the
country you??™re visiting.
??? Pack your camera lens cleaning equipment.
??? If desired, pack a tripod. Note that you can
purchase lightweight tripods that can be packed
in luggage. You may be charged a fee when
using a tripod on certain historical sites. Check
with the country you are visiting or your travel
agent for more details.
??? Pack your camera gear in your carry-on luggage; otherwise, rough baggage
handlers may damage your camera. And there??™s always the possibility that your
camera may get stolen by a less-than-honest baggage handler or security person.
