A polarizing filter will also make the sky look bluer.

shows the same scene with a polarizing filter. Notice how the clouds stand
out and the sky is bluer in the scene photographed with the polarizing filter.
You can find polarizing filters and other popular filters at your local camera
store. Table 3-1 lists some of the popular filters and their uses.

CAUTION
Don??™t cross-thread the ?¬? lter when you attach it to your
camera. This damages the threads on the camera and
the ?¬? lter.

Use Filters to Enhance Images
1. Select the desired filter.
2. Gently screw it into the threads on the front of your lens.
3. Compose and shoot the picture.
CAUTION
Do not overtighten or cross-thread a filter when screwing
it on a lens.
TIP
You can purchase a filter wrench for most popular filter
sizes at a well-stocked camera shop. You use a filter
wrench to remove a filter you??™ve inadvertently overtightened.
