single focus point in the center of the viewfinder.
2. Position your camera so that the subject you want in focus intersects the focus point.
3. Press the shutter button halfway to achieve focus.
4. Compose the scene with the shutter button still pressed halfway.
5. Press the shutter button fully to record the picture.
Use Preset Shooting Modes
When you shoot a picture using your camera??™s automatic mode, the camera
exposes the picture based on the scene lighting, the objects in the scene, and
the scene colors. This mode works well for average conditions. However, when
you??™re shooting pictures in adverse lighting conditions or shooting pictures of
fast-moving objects, you??™ll have to switch to one of your camera??™s preset modes.
Table 2-2 lists the shooting modes you??™re likely to find on your camera mode dial.
TIP
Many cameras offer the option of switching to a single autofocus
point. This is useful when photographing a person.
Switch to a center auto-focus point, and aim that point at the
person??™s head.
