The resolution comes at the expense of additional
signal processing as well as memory required to store the new family photos, as well as the
short videos.
We have decided to only show a single programmable processor (MCU) for sake of convenience,
the same comment made earlier for the communication processor applies here as far as the number
of required processors. The speed of the MCU is also increasing as well as the amount of memory
(both public and private) available. There exist MCU cores that have or support HW-based accelerators.
These accelerators should be used for the computationally extensive operations such as 3D gaming,
and the like. Additional memory is needed to store and run the multiple applications, store the
photos taken, keep music videos, and so on. As time progresses being able to record favorite Mobile
TV programs will be a normal usage scenario.
Lastly, we inserted a variety of the I/O interfaces to handle potential other third-party vendors of
Bluetooth (BT),Wireless LAN (WLAN), Global Positions System (GPS), IrDa and possibly, Mobile
TV such as DVB-H and/or MediaFLO.
The complete AP CP design should be stressed for a variety of combinations supporting simultaneous
services such as 3G Voice WLAN BT or 3G Voice Gaming or 3G Voice Mobile
TV, and the like.
