7.120 and Fig. 7.121, we present the H-Set 3 for
Category 5/6 coding for QPSK and 16-QAM, respectively.
The particular QPSK FRC example has a code rate equal to
3226/4800 and uses 5 multicodes to transmit the HS-DSCH
user data.
The 16-QAM FRC example in Fig. 7.121 has a code rate
equal to 4688/7680 and uses 4 multicodes to transmit the
DSCH user data.
The timing relationship between the HSDPA-related
physical channels and the other common and dedicated physical
channels is provided in Fig. 7.122. What is important to
note here is that the uplink HS-DPCCH has a certain timing
relationship with the uplink DPCH. This timing relationship
does not guarantee the respective time slots are time aligned.
Next we focus our attention to the HS-SCCH, HS-DSCH,
and HS-DPCCH interactions. We have chosen to show the
FRC H-Set 1 discussed above. This has an inter-TTI distance
of 3. Also shown in Fig. 7.123 are two different processes
interleaved within the retransmissions. The two timeinterleaved
processes are shown by dashed and gray bold
boxes. For example, let??™s say that subframe number 0 contains
the DSCH physical layer control information. The UE
first decodes the HS-SCCH control information. Upon successful
CRC decoding, the UE will attempt to demodulate
the DSCH.
