An excellent summary is provided in [73]
where they have chosen three types of classifications:
mountainous, urban, and suburban/rural. The
results from this contribution are summarized in
Table 3.2 for 95% CDF.
We have taken the liberty to collect a reasonable sample size of propagation measurements and
plotted them together, shown in Fig. 3.37. Here we see the majority of the measurements have a RMS
less than 500 nsec, with a few results that are less than 3 sec.
The legend used in Fig. 3.37 plot is given as: (a) Red Bank, N.J. (850 MHz/1.9 GHz); (b)
St. Louis, MI (1.9 GHz); (c) NYC, N.Y. (910 MHz); (d) Computer Simulation, 900 MHz;
(e) Australia (1.9 GHz); (f) Switzerland (900 MHz); (g) Colorado (1.9 GHz); (h) Toronto
(910 MHz); and (i) four US cities (900 MHz).
From the references used in Fig. 3.37, we can essentially see three sections present, indicating
small, medium, and large delay spread. We selected a few measurements and show them in Fig. 3.38.
